To get back to talk of bike paths in Cavallino (click here to see other suggestion of Brunella), I finally tried again the path Bike & Boat to be able to report on this site.
I started from the center of Ca Savio by bike, at about 10:00, I reached the meeting point with the service boat “Blue Dream” in Lio Piccolo, area near the restaurant “Al Notturno” (Via Lio Piccolo n. 34). The route is very pleasant (total 7.5 km), the first part in the bike path. After of Saccagnana, continuing for Lio Piccolo, you will see the typical landscape of the fish farms and of the lagoon.
When you get a meeting with Blue Dream, you can load the bike in the boat and go away at 11:00 am, with destination Cavallino Piazza Santa Maria Elisabetta. The journey takes about 50 minutes and is a wonderful experience … crossing the lagoon by boat (see the blue route in the map) you will be able to observe the impressive riches of the lagoon, Unesco world heritage site since 1987

In the square Santa Maria Elisabetta, behind the building of the local Police, I continued my ride for Ca Savio with the bicycle. In the map you can see the way in which I have privileged safe streets, bike path, little traffic: Via Pordelio (partly bike path), Via degli Arditi, Via Passarelle (partly unpaved), Via della Fonte, Via Fausta (all in bike lane). Green path = Ca Savio – Lio Piccolo 7.5 km
Orange path = Cavallino – Ca Savio 9.5 km
Service Information Bike & Boat: ideal for couples, groups of friends and families, also possibility to bring the dog of small-medium size. Other service include customized excursion in the islands of the lagoon, exclusive boat rent with skipper, aperitif and/or pizza at sunset in the lagoon, birdwatching.
The type of boat used, called “pontoon boats”, is very stable with spacious seating.
